Eligibility — Upward Bound Program

Do you qualify for the Upward Bound Program?

The program is FREE to eligible students.

The student/applicant must be:
(1) Attending 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade at Grover Cleveland High School, August Martin High School, William Cullen Bryant High School, and John Bowne High School.

(2) First-generation and/or low-income. The definition used to determine first-generation is when the student’s parents or guardians have NOT obtained a bachelor’s degree in the United States. Low income is defined as family taxable income that qualifies under federal TRIO guidelines.

If students do not meet the requirement (2), please speak with the Assistant Director to discuss other special qualifications for the Upward Bound Program.
